Theory supports Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (“FTBC”) campaign in Japan, an initiative to support Japanese women’s healthy life, upon request from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (“CFDA”).
FTBC was founded in 1994 to raise public awareness and funds to support breast cancer research, education, screening and patient care. FTBC is a charity initiative of the CFDA Foundations, the philanthropic division of the CFDA.
Theory donates the funds, earned through sales of campaign items featuring the “Bull’s eye”, FTBC’s logo, to philanthropic associations around the world.
FTBC campaign is an ongoing effort in many countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, Turkey, England and the US, under the support from fashion designers and celebrities including CFDA members.

The trademark, including the logo, of the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer belongs to Fashion Association (US) and CFDA Foundations.

Theory started sales of logo T-shirt (2 types), logo bags and logo can badges designed by our creative designer Istvan Francer in Theory stores nationwide (Theory、Theory Men’s、Theory Luxe、Theory Petit、PLS+T). The profit will be used to improve breast cancer medical care including enlightening breast cancer prevention, providing information to patients and others through a donation to the to Japan Cancer Society and others.
-Free mammopraphy screening
Theory provided free mammography screening to enlighten the improvement in early detection of breast cancer at Tokyo Midtown Garden, the main venue of "The 7th Japan Fashion Week in TOKYO" on September 6th and 7th in 2008.
