Theory Art Award was newly founded

Theory founded "Theory Art Award" to foster young artists' and to support their career development.
In the award, we persuade artistically oriented university students, specialty professional training college students or new graduates who strongly aspire to be artists, to present art works which matches with Theory brand's, stores & items' image. LTH will purchase prize-earned art works with prize money, and display them at Theory Aoyama flagship store and headquarters, along with planning to use them in goods such as shopping bags, Theory items, ad presentations etc. throughout Japan.

Title:	Theory Art Award
Invitation:	Invite publicly art works which match with Theory image, and decide prize-winner after audition
Prize money:	2 million JPY for total (1st: 500 thousands for two, 2nd: 250 thousands for four, 6 works for total)
Term of invitation:	March 11th (Tue) – April 9th (Wed) 2008
Entitlement:	Students in artistically oriented universities, specialty professional training college or graduates of those universities after March 2005 who strongly aspire to be artists
Conditions:	Theme needs to be “Theory”. Candidates should visit Theory stores, understanding Theory brand, stores, products' image
Style:	Flat art works such as paintings, drawings, pictures, or block prints, need to be within 100cm for one surface
Procedures for application:	The required matters are inputted from the application form page, and an art image is attached and it subscribes. Application format includes: Name, birth date, contact address, educational institutions with major, year of graduation, description of the art such as title, style & size (within 100 words), name of stores the candidate visited before application, image of the art (JPEG format, within 2600pixel×4000pixel, with free horizontal & vertical size)
Audition:	(1st audition) selects 12 art works in-house, scheduled to announce mid-April, 2008 (2nd audition) selected 12 art works will be exhibited at Theory Aoyama flagship store, and prize-winners will be decided through polling by customers & in-house audition. Term of exhibition: April 26th (Sat) – May 6th (Tue) 2008. Prize-winners will be announced on May 10th (Sat) 2008.
Procedures of exhibiting 12 art works selected at 1st audition:	Candidates who passed 1st audition should bring the art work, or send it, to Theory Aoyama flagship store＜MAP＞ at designated date with self-pay. In case candidates want to have the art work which hadn’t passed 2nd audition back to themselves, the related expenses needs be covered by themselves.
Notice:	-Candidates' art works must be produced by themselves without any prior public display, and must not impede any 3rd parties' intellectual property. -LTH will purchase prize-winners' art works with prize money and may display at several venues, ex. Theory Aoyama flagship store, as LTH corporate collection. -LTH group co's　may use the selected art works as shopping bags, products, ad presentations etc. throughout Japan, and may alter them for LTH' discretion. -LTH pay the best attention to keep the art works in an appropriate manner, though, LTH doesn't owe any responsibility for defects, damages caused by natural disasters, unexpected accidents and accidents during transportation.
